Van Buskirk, Anna of Gold River, passed away at the spirited age of 97 on Jan 8, 2018. Anna was born in China to a family who operated an export/import business in Shanghai. She was studious, loved learning everything taught to her, which served her well because she spoke several fluent languages and was a member of the French Underground during WWII. Van Buskirk, Anna of Gold River, passed away at the spirited age of 97 on Jan 8, 2018. Anna was born in China to a family who operated an export/import business in Shanghai. She was studious, loved learning everything taught to her, which served her well because she spoke several fluent languages and was a member of the French Underground during WWII. She met the love of her life, Willard a Navy Officer and they spent 70 beautiful years with one another. During some time living in Israel, she became a Licensed Vocation Nurse. Together, they had 2 children, Walter and Rozann. Anna joins her husband now, and is survived by her 2 children, 2 grandchildren and many friends that will miss her. Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Service for her on Thurs, Jan 11 at 11:00am, Home of Peace Jewish Cemetery, 6200 Stockton Blvd in Sacramento. Arrangements under the care of Lombard Funeral Home
